Mr. McCausland is the Chief Investment Officer for BlueSkye and holds a management position on the Investment Strategy Committee. Concomitantly, Mr. McCausland is co-manager of the discretionary equity portfolios available to individual and institutional clients of BlueSkye. Over the past decade, Mr. McCausland has successfully beat industry performance averages across the biotech, med-tech and emerging technologies industries by emphasizing fundamental analysis and planned exit strategies. He will continue to cover these sectors for BlueSkye.Mr. McCausland has 18 years of industry experience as a portfolio manager, relationship manager, investment analyst, and equity trader for mid to large sized financial services firms and hedge funds. Mr. McCausland has worked with multi-billion dollar institutions designing and managing corporate retirement plans as well as preparing tax-loss harvesting and exit strategies ahead of corporate mergers.
Mike, his wife and daughter, live in Winter Park, Florida. He has worked with members of Starter Studio, The Sid Martin Biotechnology Development Incubator at The University of Florida, BioOrlando/BioFlorida and The Young Lawyers Section of Orlando. Prior to joining BlueSkye, Mike worked at Smith Barney/Morgan Stanley, Prudential Securities, Inflection Point Investing LLC and, most recently, comes to BlueSkye from Merrill Lynch.
